With the sudden passing of my mother, I am working my way through the necessary arrangements to take care of her affairs. I want to hold a fitting memorial for her, and feel it would be best to take the time needed to plan such an event. I decided to start this blog so that I could publish a notice of her passing in the newspaper without having to decide on the details of her memorial at the same time. I plan to post information on the memorial once it has been arranged.

Kendra, as fellow guest service members at Raley Field, we know the importance of kindness and and generosity. You are a strong woman and I admire you for wanting to memorialize your mother in a meaningful way.

ReplyDeleteIt is with deep sadness I write these thoughts. Charlotte was a dear friend for over 40 years. We shared memories throughout our lives , staying in touch by phone or letters to one another when she lived in Juneau, Alaska and Santa Barbara and other places in her adventurous life.
While in Sacramento, she remained after all these years a beacon for friendship bathed in the light of her kindness. We laughed at lifes lighter moments. We consoled each other when the challenges arose.
I will never forget Charlotte. I will miss visiting with her and hearing of the love she steadfastly held for you, Kendra.
My hopes for kindness and peace to be accorded to her in the beyond.
I know you will cherish the memory of your mother on your lifes journey.

I think Charolette was my cousin who I lost track of 45 years ago when I was just a kid. There are relatives who asked me to try to find her and her sister Rose Marie because they want to get in touch with them. My Mom and Dad and sister are all dead so I have no resources to use. My memories of her are good and I am sorry to hear of her passing. It is hard to lose one's parents and I remember her being kind hearted and nice to me. If I am in error please excuse me for getting on your blog.
